Hey there, my lovely readers! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for a while, but I have a perfectly good excuse. In the last three months, I’ve been lucky enough to visit four amazing countries and take six unforgettable trips!
My adventure started in Porto, Portugal, where I had planned to visit the Santuário do Bom Jesus do Monte. Braga exceeded my expectations and the sanctuary was even more beautiful in person, despite the challenging stairs. But after falling in love with the city, I decided to stay a bit longer and explore nearby Guimarães and Lisbon. Let me tell you, I’m still dreaming about the cod dishes I tried there! And don’t even get me started on the Oceanarium in Lisbon, where I met the cutest otters and penguins and devoured the most delicious Pastel de Nata.
After a cozy Christmas with my family and a new addition to the crew (a deaf stray cat who now goes by the name Vampiro), I flew to Scotland to catch up with some dear friends and admire the fluffy cows. And of course, stock up on tea bags, because who knows when you’ll need a proper cuppa!
From there, I made an unexpected stopover in Paris and decided to skip my childhood dream of going to Disneyland to indulge in some amazing cultural activities. The Sainte Chapelle was absolutely breathtaking, Les Invalides and the tomb of Napoleon were a close second, and the Palace of Versailles was a true wonder. Sadly, Notre Dame was closed to the public, but that just means I have to go back soon!
Finally, I made my way to Madrid for some medical reasons, but still managed to squeeze in some art at the Prado Museum and visit the beautiful Sorolla Museum, which used to be the house of the famous Spanish painter.
Now, I can’t wait to tell you all about my upcoming trip to Switzerland, where I plan to reunite with some dear friends, munch on delicious cheese, and ogle at some hot men (shh, don’t tell my boyfriend!). Stay tuned, my lovelies! xoxoxo
